TrellisMATHS Investigations Software

TrellisMATHS Investigations includes four programs which can be used with students working across a range of abilities. All of the programs are investigative in nature and allow students to develop their analytical and thinking skills. The table of results generated includes several features which allow students to organise their results.  This will encourage them to look for patterns, to make predictions and to generalise.

Inscribe and Spirals include structured activities within the program. Points and Trellis include the facility for students to test any rules they have found by answering randomly generated questions.

Within each program there is a Make Notes facility which allows students to copy and paste their results into a word-processing package. This will allow students to further analyse their results away from the computer, although they may wish to return to the program to test any rules and hypotheses they have found.
